Manchester is a walkable city with many public transportation routes. There are buses, trams, and trains to help you get around, plus ride services such as taxis. What is the closest airport?<a href="https://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Manchester Airport (MAN)</a> is a half-hour drive from central Manchester. Taxis and other ride services can take you from the airport to your hotel. Where should I stay?There are many hotels in Manchester that you can book. If there is enough interest, we will reserve a block of rooms at a hotel within walking distance of the venue. A hotel block can offer you a discount on your room. Please indicate on your RSVP if you would be interested in this option.

Travel

Manchester is a lively city with many ways to keep you entertained. Our first recommendation is to visit museums, such as the <a href="https://www.museum.manchester.ac.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Manchester Museum</a> and <a href="https://phm.org.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">People's History Museum</a>. Some museums are free to visit! If you are interested in shopping, there are many stores at <a href="https://manchesterarndale.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Manchester Arndale</a>, the city's mall/shopping centre. For something a little different, try the indie indoor-market <a href="https://afflecks.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Afflecks</a>. A quick search on your phone will bring up many places to eat, but we can personally recommend Polish food at <a href="https://www.platzki.co.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Platzki</a>, arancini from hole-in-the-wall <a href="https://www.facebook.com/RizzosSicilianfood/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rizzo's</a>, a <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/aivQ8d4U8aPs8PPo9" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Street Star</a> burger, and homemade pastas from <a href="https://thesparrows.me/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Spärrows</a>. Other things to do include playing indoor mini golf, catching a movie, seeing a show at the theatre <a href="https://thelowry.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lowry</a>, grabbing afternoon tea at <a href="https://richmondtearooms.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Richmond Tea Rooms</a>, or "washing your clothes" at <a href="https://www.washhousemcr.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Washhouse</a> (shh...it's a "secret" bar!). Things to Do

We have compiled some information about the big day for you. If you have any unanswered questions, please reach out to us. When do you need my RSVP by?Please respond by November 10th, 2025. What is the wedding day timeline of events?We will invite guests upstairs around 11:45am. Please be in your seat by noon. If you arrive early, you can wait in the public area of the pub. The afternoon will begin with a simple vow-reading ceremony, followed by a celebratory toast. After the ceremony will be a sit-down lunch. When the meal is over, the party will begin! The venue is reserved for the whole day, so we can dance through the evening. The venue will be changing the seating around for us at certain points of the night. We will all go downstairs together to one section of the pub and enjoy a drink while waiting. What should I wear?The wedding dress code is semi-formal. Think cocktail dresses or jumpsuits, suits or button-downs and slacks, and dress shoes. There is not a traditional "wedding party", so you can wear any color. If you want to avoid sharing colors with the bride and groom, Mirenda will be in ivory, and Josh will be wearing sage. If you are unsure of your outfit, you can run it by us! During the party, Josh and Mirenda will be swapping their nice shoes for sneakers. Feel free to bring your own comfy shoes to slip into after dinner! Are children allowed at the wedding?Absolutely! We are excited to have your kids celebrate with us. We will do our best to accommodate children's meals. Please keep in mind that music at the party may be uncensored and loud, and there will be alcohol. We have a small room connected to the main one if you and your child need a moment away from the crowd. Where can I store items at the venue?There is a walk-in coat closet with plenty of room for umbrellas, coats, shoes, bags, and other items. Will there be food and drinks?Yes. Lunch will be served after the ceremony, and we will have snacks during the party. We will provide prosecco, beer, and wine throughout the day, but you can purchase more alcohol at the bar. Alcohol-free options will be available. ** As the wedding date gets closer, we will reach out again so you can select your meal. Please keep an eye out for that request! What will the weather be like?Manchester at the end of February is often cold and rainy. If you're traveling from out of town, pack cold-weather clothes such as sweaters and boots. As always in the winter, check for snow chances! Is there a wedding registry?No. The majority of guests are visiting from out of town, and we recognize that this can be expensive. We are incredibly grateful for your company, and it may sound cliché, but spending time with you is truly the greatest gift. Can we use our phones to take photos?Of course! We'd like to avoid flash during the ceremony, but you are free to take photos and videos throughout the day. We do not have restrictions on posting to social media. Will we be able to visit with you outside of the wedding?There are no wedding events planned outside of the wedding day. We will do our best to spend time with you the week before the wedding, but please be patient with us as we prepare for our wedding and accommodate family. If you are coming into town early, we are happy to invite you to our house or meet you in town in between wedding preparations - we just ask that we plan it in advance!
