160 Days To Go!

A deep love built on a long friendship...

Josh and Abby met at Boise State University in 2019, Abby was a freshman and Josh a sophomore in college. The two started off as good buddies. They would go ski together and hang out at various campus events and church activities. The following year of college they got to spend even more time with each other going on double dates....dating each-others friends. The next year as those other relationships ended, Josh and Abby's strong friendship and adventurous spirits always stayed alive. And as it typically goes, trying to only be "just friends" did not prove possible between the two, if you know what I mean ;) . As Josh graduated in May of 2022 and moved to San Diego, things between them got complicated and their relationship pointed to only being a fond memory. Abby graduated the next year, also finding herself moving to San Diego (NOT BECAUSE OF JOSH, despite what he will tell you, we actually had not spoken for almost a year at this point). For the next year, they lived in the same city without ever running into each other. The fun memories with Abby weighed on Josh and he decided to reach out and ask her to go rollerblade like they used to do at school. After much consideration, Abby thought...hmmmm....whats one blade gonna do? And look where that landed them. Dating two months later, engaged four months after that, and a wedding all in the same 12 months.

When they finally realized the partnership, compatibility, and potential they had together, the two felt unstoppable. Josh says that falling and love with Abby has been a very smooth natural process and that he cant wait for the next steps. Abby says she really found the love of her life, and cant believe it is an old college friend.

We both are thankful that God has protected, grown and prepared us for His timing. God is at the center of this relationship and coming marriage so we have the upmost confidence in His plan for our future!
