You know how back in the early-mid 2000's when online dating was considered weird? Yeah, so do we.

But here we are, having met via the dating app Hinge in June of 2023. Josh was in Wilmington for work, and Preston was mindlessly swiping through Hinge one night. They matched, Josh impressed by the fact Preston would prefer a tailgate over brunch. They began messaging back and forth, not sure if anything would come of it but both willing to give it a whirl.

Fast forward to our first date on June 24, 2023 in downtown Wilmington. Preston came straight off her shift at the hospital-scrubs, messy hair, dark sense of humor, and all. Josh and Preston chatted over dinner, and went and got ice cream afterwards because neither wanted the night to end. Neither were sure if they'd ever meet up again, but both knew they wanted to.

Come August 9th, 2024, yet again after a long day at the hospital. Preston got home, and Josh had the most beautiful proposal lined up and waiting for her. She was so excited, her response was simply, "well, duh."

Now, time for the next chapter of our lives to begin.
