Ashley bought an old home that was in need of some repairs. After a failed set up from a friend, and many cold nights due to a faulty HVAC system, Ashley reached out to Josh for advice.

Josh came over the next day. Conversation came naturally and after a “not a date” lunch, Josh declared that he, “could use more friends”. And so the friendship started.

Many sleepless conversation nights, T.V. binge watching, hikes, adventures, and a double date later-they decided to ‘touch elbows’ and see how things would go.

They went on their first road trip to Crater Lake and assembled a tent in the pouring rain. Instead of frustration, the moment turned hilarious and Josh decided he loved Ashley (though he didn’t say it for MANY more months)! That night-freezing-they slept next to a private lake INSIDE their tent.

Another long weekend road trip to Idaho…

…to the Grand Tetons…

…And Yellow Stone, made it clear that they were inseparable and can in fact tell you what is sounds like, “when the doves cry”.

His handsome charm…

…and her clear beauty…

Resulted in a lot of amusing weekend adventures with the kids.

Including Pokémon go battles…

A road trip to the Redwoods…

And a stay at the “Trees of Mystery”…

Where they all had a slapping good time.

They went on a trip to Mexico in June, 2022.

A quick visit to the fertile goddess Isla Mujures proved a bit too accurate…

And their family grew!

And so did they!!

Jack joined the bunch February, 2023.

The goofy kid crew adjusted well.

Life shifted to watching the children grow from one chapter in life…

…And embracing change as they started another…

Intentionally focusing on appreciating the little things…

Celebrating family and love…

Embracing traditions…

Suffering together in cold…

Working together to better the home (HVAC system never acted up again after that first “not date” by the way).

And supporting each other as they worked hard to achieve life goals…

With the hope of many more adventures and memories to come.
