Katie and Brooke grew up playing hockey together and later were roommates and teammates at Penn State for four years. Post college, they have enjoyed many good memories on the lake together.

Ken and Josh grew up together and have always been close friends. They bonded over their mutual love for skiing. As kids, they enjoyed camping together, and now they love surfing together.

Shayla and Brooke first met when Brooke’s brother, Hunter, introduced her to the family at Brooke’s parents' house during the summer of 2020. It has been amazing to have Shayla as part of the Madsen family.

Hunter is Brooke’s Brother. But Josh knew Hunter before he met Brooke. Hunter and Josh met while smelt fishing in Duluth. They've since become close friends, bonding over fishing and hunting.

Lindsey and Brooke met in elementary school and became friends in 3rd grade. During a Girl Scouts end-of-year party, they were the only ones who chose to go to Grand Slam instead of Build-A-Bear. They grew up playing hockey and softball together.

Scott and Josh met in college while fishing on the Great Lakes. They enjoy salmon and trout fishing and deer hunting together.

Shelby and Brooke met in middle school and quickly became close friends. Every year, they enjoy spending a weekend at Shelby's family's cabin in the summer going on pontoon rides, skiing, and playing cards together.

Aaron and Josh met in college at Duluth fishing. They have spent many hours in the boat together searching for big lake trout.

Kiersten and Brooke are cousins and were born just a month apart. They have shared many family memories and experiences, and enjoy spending every Christmas Eve at their Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Eric and Josh have been friends since elementary school. They played tennis together in high school and were college roommates at Duluth. They enjoyed many days skiing together at Spirit Mountain.

Natalie and Brooke met when Natalie came out to Penn State for her official visit before her freshman year. They played hockey together for three years at Penn State.

Nick and Josh met in the hallway of their dorms, where Nick noticed Josh was holding a fishing pole. They enjoyed fishing together in Duluth and wakeboarding on Lake Superior in the winter during college.
