Josh and Amanda first met in May of 2022 when Amanda was trying to leave her house and her car wouldn’t start. Josh noticed and headed across the street to help jump-start the car and send Amanda on her way. All throughout her drive, Amanda found herself thinking about that handsome, genuinely compassionate man and also thinking there was no way he was single. As time passed, Amanda still visited that morning in her mind and decided to do some investigative work; she had to know if that wonderful man was available. Little did Amanda know, Josh was doing some sleuthing of his own and had even told is parents about “the blonde across the street”.

Summertime arrived and that led to Josh and Amanda spending a little more time around one another as Josh would head across the street to help Amanda around the house, even though we all know Amanda could do it all herself…Josh helped fix the swing set and brought his new dog, Zola, over to meet Amanda and her family.

On August 14, 2022 Amanda finally decided enough was enough with these little chance encounters and decided she’d ask for Josh’s help to build her Pergola. This was totally just a set up because, again, Amanda absolutely could have done this herself. Josh of course, being the caring, compassionate, helpful man that he is, agreed to help and the two quickly became best friends. They enjoyed dinner and S’mores nights, camping with Amanda’s children, and all kinds of other fun activities. Josh’s bachelor days seemed to be fading into the rearview and Amanda could see how devoted and dedicated he’d become to her and her four boys.

Their engagement took place on June 21, 2023 after Josh had gotten Amanda’s parents’ blessing and surprised her with her dream proposal on the beach at Giddeon Lodge in Door County. Josh and Amanda cannot wait to start writing the next chapter of their perfect love story after their wedding at Vennebu Hill in Barraboo on August 2, 2024.
