Q + A

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by May 18, 2024.

What if I cannot travel to Italy?

While we would love for everyone to attend, we completely understand the cost and commitment to international travel may not be acheivable for some. Please join us if you are able, but we will gladly accept your warm wishes from afar!

Am I invited to both the Welcome Party and Elopement Celebration?

Yes, all guests are invited to both the Welcome Party on Tuesday, 09/17/24 and Elopement Celebration on Wednesday, 09/18/24. They will both be held at Fattoria Terranova. On the "RSVP" page, please indicate which event(s) you will be attending.

What is the dress code?

The Welcome Party is casual attire. For the Elopement Celebration, Garden Party attire: semi-formal. Think comfortable, classy, and colorful!

Are you having a wedding ceremony?

No, it has always been a dream of ours to elope in Italy. Days before the Elopement Celebration, we will be having a private ceremony to exchange vows with our parents present.

How do I get to Fattoria Terranova?

"Travel" page will include all important travel information, including passport and Visa requirements, air travel, transportation, and directions to the venue.

What will the weather be like? How should I dress?

September is during peak season in Italy, with high temperatures. Bring light clothing, comfortable shoes, and expect a lot of walking!

What are some important things to keep in mind when we arrive in Italy?

The service, especially in restaurants is different and SLOWER than we’re used to in the States. Expect to spend 1.5-2 hours eating and drinking during dinner service. Siesta time, also known as "riposo" in Italy is popular, local shops and other businesses close midday for three hours or so. It can start as early as 3:00pm and places do not open back up until 7:00-7:30pm. Pack light, the infrastructure in Italy is very outdated. There are several staircases, cobblestones, limited elevators, and tight sidewalks. It will be extremely tiresome traveling with large suitcases.

What are some fun things to do in Sorrento?

Southern Italy has the most beautiful beaches. Feel free to pack your bathing suit and sunscreen to plan a day at one of the many beach clubs, or a boat ride through the Amalfi Coast. We visited Peter's Beach in Sorrento back in September 2022 and it was one of the best parts of our stay. If that's not your vibe, Sorrento's Downtown Center has several shops, restaurants, and most importantly, delicious gelato storefronts around every corner!
