Josh and Alisha met online through Instagram in the summer of 2022. Their connection quickly blossomed into a close friendship rooted in their shared love for worship, their faith in God, and their similar backgrounds. For nearly a year, their entire relationship relied on late-night FaceTime calls and phone conversations. Through these talks, they learned more about each other and grew closer. It wasn’t until the spring of 2023 that they finally had the opportunity to meet in person for the very first time. God, in His perfect timing, orchestrated their meeting.

Alisha needed to attend a wedding in San Antonio, where Josh already lived. That trip became a pivotal moment in their story, showing them just how much they liked one another. Feeling God’s peace and direction, they decided to transition from friendship to pursuing something more. From that point on, they began dating, growing closer as they got to know one another on a deeper level. They prayed and sought God’s guidance, as well as the support of their families, about the next steps in their relationship. Early the following year, after much prayer and consideration, Josh asked Alisha to be his girlfriend.

Over the past year, God has grown their relationship immensely, teaching them how to love each other in the way He intended and preparing them for marriage. Their journey has been filled with joy and lessons as they traveled back and forth between New Mexico and Texas, all while continuing to pray and trust God’s plan for their future.

By the end of 2024, Josh decided it was time to take the next step. With God’s blessing and the support of both their families, he asked Alisha to marry him on December 29, 2024, during a trip with their families present. Now engaged, Josh and Alisha are excited to see what God has in store for the next chapter of their lives together...
