As all romantic comedies go, these two were destined to meet on a sunny day, bump into each other at a coffee shop, and live happily ever after… right? Not exactly.

In true unconventional fashion, Tori and Josh’s story began with a little matchmaking by Tori’s mom, Heather. Heather worked with Josh at the Fort Oglethorpe Lowe’s and, worried her daughter might become an “old spinster” (Tori watched one too many romantic movies and didn’t always put herself out there), decided to take matters into her own hands. With the help of one of her assistant managers, Heather passed along Tori’s phone number to Josh.

Josh, not wanting to rush things — or maybe just a little nervous — held onto that number for months. Finally, on January 20th, 2023, he sent the text. Thankfully, Tori replied that same day, and just one week later, on January 28th, they met in person for the first time at Finley Stadium for a soccer game.

And this time, the rest really is history. ❤️
