We met in high school when Josh was a sophomore and I was a freshman. Soon after, we began spending more time together and started dating in the spring. Two wonderful years went by, but we decided to take a break when Josh went to college. However, we continued talking and hanging out occasionally. Fast forward two years, and I found myself in need of a date for a friend's wedding. As luck would have it, Josh was available and we went to the wedding together. After that, we realized that we still had feelings for each other and decided to give our relationship another chance. And the rest, as they say, is history!
On Christmas day in 2022, Josh picked me up in Mullen to head out to the ranch. On our way, he received a call from his brother, Zack, who asked us to check the water in a certain pasture before heading to the house. Just south of the house, Josh turned off the road and floored it right into a snowdrift. After a few minutes of Josh shoveling his side with the world's worst shovel, he asked me to get out and work on my side. So, I started digging, not questioning anything but Josh's decision to take that route. Then he asked me to bring the shovel around to him. And there he was, on one knee, and he popped the question.
