Yes, you read that right! Kangaroos!
Kangaroo Creek Farm also has wallabies, sugar gliders, capybaras, bunnies, birds, and more! How often do you get the chance to feed popcorn to a kangaroo? This is a must-do! (There is a good chance you will also see Brook here de-stressing from wedding planning lol)
Bike or walk along the historical Kettle Valley Railway route built between 1912-1914. Myra Canyon has some of the most beautiful views of Kelowna! The trail is up to 24 km there-and-back, with two tunnels and 18 trestles. Bikes are for rent right at the trail head.
There are so many beautiful hikes in Kelowna! If you are looking for an easier hike, we suggest Paul's Tomb at Knox Mountain, or, for a slightly more challenging route, Apex trail at Knox. If you are up for a 20-30 minute drive you can check out: Spoin Kopp (Lake Country, head to the turtle bay pub after for a beer!) or Pincushion Mountain (Summerland - you will drive by the wedding venue!)
A wine tour is a MUST while in the Okanagan! There are so many beautiful wineries to choose from. Josh and I did a Vivid Tours wine tour in May 2023 and had a great experience. They will pick you up from your hotel in a Vivid Tours van and take you to a few wineries. There are also plenty of other companies offering wine tours in the Okanagan.
Use Vivid Wine tours for 5% off - just mention you are referred to by our wedding planner Molly Clayton!
Brewery suggestions from the Craft Beer Connoisseur, himself: Rustic Reel, The Office Brewery, Red Bird, Vice and Virtue, & Buffalo Rouge. There are tons of breweries downtown Kelowna within walking distance from each other!
The Marina is downtown near all sorts of restaurants and breweries. A great spot to go for a walk along the water!
Mexican Food: El Taquero; American: King Taps (right by the water!); Pizza: DunnEnzies; Pub Food: Train Station Pub; Winery: Annies Beach Cafe and Restaurant (super cool vibe, attached to Frind Winery); Sushi: Momo sushi; Ice Cream: The Parlour ( a local MUST EAT);
Check out the local courses in the Okanagan for a scenic round of golf!
