As many of you know, the two of us had actually gone to middle and high school together. We would pass each other in the hall, smile and wave, but our relationship never reached beyond that. It wasn’t until 2023 when we both graduated college and ran into one another at two rivers (coffee shop) over the summer that our friendship and relationship began. There was one time in particular where both of us went to study (Megan was studying the menu for La Cosecha lol and Josh for his nursing boards) where we ended up talking for over two hours about God, music, travel, and all of our favorite things. It was this run in that left both of us wanting more time with one another.

After accidentally running into one another at Two Rivers for a couple of weeks (not an accident), Josh asked Megan to go get margs and explore Wimberly with him. Honestly after this day, the rest is history.

That summer we enjoyed little adventures together of exploring the Texas Hill Country and getting to know our new best friend. This was the day Josh asked Megan to be his girlfriend at enchanted rock.

Slowly entering one another’s world has been the most fun and special thing. It has felt like there has been a spot saved for us in each others world.

Just over six months into our relationship, Megan had the opportunity to visit Cedarville University in Ohio, where Josh spent four years earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Leaving Ohio, she felt deeply grateful for the community that played such a significant role in shaping Josh’s journey and his walk with the Lord.

We also got to go visit some of Megan’s favorite people at Coastline International Church in Croatia. A place where a lot of Megan’s growth and love for people flourished. Josh dived right into relationship with everyone and left in awe of the community and lifestyle.

On our way back to the US we made a quick pit stop in Switzerland and it was AMAZING. Traveling together was the best. Josh is the most friendly traveler you’ll ever meet. Asking everyone we sit next to their name and story. We are so excited to be travel buddies for life.

We also got to stop by the mushroom farm that Megan’s dad, uncle and granddad started in Gonzales. Josh was ecstatic. He’s a big fan of mushrooms.

Really our favorite things to do together are spend time with our people, explore new and old places, discover more of God’s character, and eat yummy food. We’ve done a lot of those things together and can’t wait for many more years of growing deeper in love with God, people, food, and adventure.

And just like that January 3rd became a very special day to us… We got engaged!!

YAYYYY!!

Now we get to celebrate God’s faithfulness and get married with our favorite people by our side on November 7th. We couldn’t be more excited!!!
