Josh and Sydney first met through Josh's Dad. He was Sydney's basketball coach when she transferred to Faith Christian Academy in 2017. Sydney initially met Coach Forker, Ashley Forker, and Bella Forker, who were all special from the very first day. However, she didn't meet Josh until September of 2017 when she had to do private basketball lessons with Coach Forker and Bella due to her ruptured spleen. Josh happened to come to those lessons on Saturday mornings and helped Sydney practice all her different drills. Josh and Sydney then didn't reconnect until they were on the Track and Field team together in the spring of Sydney's 9th grade year and Josh's 11th grade year. They quickly became friends through endless jokes and laughs throughout every practice and meets!

However, it wasn't till after Sydney's 16th birthday party that Josh came to pick up Bella! Sydney and Josh quickly connected again through many laughs and jokes with friends. Sydney and Josh continued to talk through the work of Coach Forker bringing them together at basketball games and practices throughout the fall. Josh and Sydney finally went out together with Bella on December 1st, 2018 to Dairy Queen :) After that, Sydney and Josh continued to liked on each other and saw each other every day at school, waiting at lockers and walking down hallways, and of course, during basketball and track. Josh then asked Sydney to a banquet that year, and they continued to be best friends for the next year and a half.

Then finally, in Covid season of 2020, Sydney and Josh officially started dating. Their dates included video calls, bike rides, going to parks, and playing basketball outside. Josh and Sydney continued their relationship now both going to college for the next two years. Which then leads to the big day!!

On January 4th, 2024, Josh asked Sydney to marry him at Longwood Gardens with both of their families and friends there! Sydney of course said yes after getting to spend the past 6 years in love with each other!

Joshua and Sydney have given God August 21st, 2024 as the day they will get become Mr. and Mrs. Forker! We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
