Our Wedding

Ryan and Josh met in Spring of 2016 at Stonewall Sports' rules clinic for the upcoming kickball season that Ryan and Josh signed up for. Ryan and Josh both joined Stonewall in hopes of making new friends. Little did they know they would do exactly that and so much more. Stonewall became their family, their people, and it also gave them their soulmates: each other. When Josh first saw Ryan, Ryan was acting so nervously and shy that Josh thought he must be some sweet, innocent, farm boy from the outskirts of Cleveland. While Ryan is definitely the sweetest soul you'll ever meet, he is far from a farm boy haha. Josh on the other hand, grew up on an animal farm. Go figure. Ryan and Josh really hit it off at the clinic and enjoyed the geekiest of conversations at the after clinic social hosted at Juke Box. Josh noticed Ryan's Harley Quinn shirt and Batman shoes. As a big fan of the Bat, Ryan got a big stamp of approval from Josh before he even opened his mouth. For a couple hours, Ryan displayed just how much of a geek he was as Josh happily listened and let his own inner geek shine. These two crazy boys found someone whose craziness complimented their own and the sparks were apparent to everyone from day one. After months of blossoming friendship and interest in one another, Ryan and Josh started to go on 1:1 dates in July. Their first date was at Grumpy's Cafe which, despite the name, is actually an incredibly bubbly and fun brunch place in Cleveland. After a beautiful night sitting under the stars watching the July 4th fireworks, Ryan took Josh home where they shared their first kiss. With Josh's friends spying from upstairs, Ryan smooched Josh on the lips before silently and hastily running to his car, nervously shouting "good night," and then driving off like he was a Nascar driver who just got the "Go" flag. Josh was ecstatic about the kiss, but wondered WTF just happened and if that was the end of his time with Ryan as Ryan peeled off down the street with barely a good bye. Perplexed, but still full of butterflies, Josh walked slowly up the stairs and into his apartment where his friends were trying so hard to pretend like that hadn't just spied on the whole affair. Realizing what he had just done, Ryan stopped at the other end of Josh's street where he texted Josh to thank him for the night, the kiss, and apologize for the abruptness of his departure. Ryan explained that his excitement got the best of him and he had so much energy from the kiss that he just flew without even realizing how fast he was moving. The couple laughed, Josh accepted his apology, and they continued to go on dates until Ryan officially asked Josh to be his boyfriend on August 12, 2016...the day of Pride in the CLE. Over 5 years later, the couple is now living in Tampa, Florida and still deeply in love. Ryan and Josh have built a family of their own with four fur babies: Grayson (Dick Grayson aka Robin), Selina (Selina Kyle aka Catwoman), Quinn (aka Harley Quinn), and Isley (Pamela Isley aka Ivy). They purchased a beautiful first home together in July of 2020 and are thriving, despite a global pandemic. They've shared adventures from coast to coast and are planning on sharing a whole bunch more. Through the ups and downs of these crazy days, Ryan and Josh have never stopped supporting, loving, and encouraging one other to be the best versions of themselves they can be. The couple would like to thank each and everyone of their family and friends for their incredibly support. Ryan and Josh look forward to sharing their special day with each of you. It's a day that has been long in the making, and now it is finally coming to pass and the couple couldn't be happier. Remember, love is patient, love is kind, but most importantly, love is love no matter a person's orientation or gender identity. Thank you for being incredible human beings, allies, and advocates. Now let's get ready celebrate, grab a drink, and hit the dance floor!

Josh and Ryan are only inviting guests who are FULLY VACCINATED (preferably with a booster). FYI: You can book at the wedding group rate by calling in. You are eligible for the rate up to 4 days before the wedding (9/12/22) through 4 days after the wedding (9/20/22). Hope Lake Lodge at Greek Peak Mountain Resort is a luxurious hotel with 151 luxury condominium-style suites. Each suite is complete with fully equipped kitchens, the relaxing comfort of spa quality mattresses, and the warmth of your very own fireplace. The suites can sleep between 4-10 people, depending on your needs so please plan accordingly. With you lodging, you will have free access to the heated outdoor pool and indoor/outdoor hot tub. There is an additional fee to use the amenities at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.greekpeak.net/waterpark/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cascades Indoor Waterpark</a>, but as part of the wedding you will have discounted rates. Take a leisurely stroll around Hope Lake Park in the Fall weather and enjoy the beauty of the mountain!&nbsp; If you are a thrill seeker, visit their <a href="https://www.greekpeak.net/outdoor-adventure-center/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Adventure Center</a>&nbsp;for a guided Zip Line Tour or take a ride on our Mountain Coaster, both operating year round! PS, at least Josh will be taking full advantage of these activities and you're encouraged to join!

Travel

Cascades Indoor Waterpark provides activities for all ages and swimming abilities. The whole family will find something to love! The Waterpark is attached to Hope Lake Lodge, a luxurious “Green” Hotel located in Cortland with panoramic views in every direction. Mention you are part of Ryan Swift and Josh Kratz's wedding and you will the wedding group pricing ;)

Cascades Indoor Waterpark

The Outdoor Adventure Center features a gravity-fed Mountain Coaster, guided Zip Line Tour of 4 Dual Zip Lines (2 Lines November-March), a High Aerial Challenge Course (High Ropes – seasonal), a Eurobungy Trampoline (seasonal), a “Summer Kid Zone” featuring Bounce Houses and a Kiddie Climbing Wall, and an 18 lane Winter Tubing Center. We also offer custom team building programs by reservation for sports teams, organizations, corporate retreats &amp; more! Again, when making reservations mention you are a guest at Ryan Swift and Josh Kratz's wedding and you'll get the wedding group price ;)

 Outdoor Adventure Center at Greek Peak Mountain Resort 

Fun For All Levels of Bike RidersJaw-dropping scenery meets exciting tracks and trails for all ages and skill levels to enjoy! Greek Peak Mountain Bike Park has something for everyone, offering 17 exciting downhill gravity trails ranging from beginner to expert. It is located in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York. Riders will enjoy endless heart-pounding trail options that make this a winning weekend destination for mountain bike enthusiasts. Greek Peak also offers a cross-country trail system&nbsp;(Cross Country Mountain Biking is not permitted on the Mountain).&nbsp;This trail network spans over nine miles located just across the street at Hope Lake Park. Trails are shared access so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for hikers. Plan your return for the winter season, these are our Cross Country Ski &amp; Snowshoe trails! Waterfalls Spa is a luxurious European style day spa that allows its guests to create their own spa experience in a casual, nurturing environment surrounded and inspired by nature.&nbsp;Guests enjoy gracious accommodations and world-class spa services in a haven of peace and tranquility. Your service provider will greet you and take you to a private room. Room amenities include towels, robes, slippers and showers. Please note, Waterfalls Spa does not offer locker rooms. Mention you are a guest of Ryan and Josh's wedding. Unsure if there is a group discount on spa services, but it's always worth checking :)

Greek Peak Mountain Resort offers many diverse dining options, including the new Carvers Steakhouse, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner this season.&nbsp;Try the 48oz Tomahawk Steak.&nbsp;Located at Hope Lake Lodge next to the Bobcat Lounge.&nbsp;At Greek Peak, visit Trax Pub &amp; Grill, featuring 21 craft beers on tap and a versatile menu.&nbsp;Trax&nbsp;offers inside dining, for lunch and dinner, as well as dining on our 6,000 sq. ft. deck that is tented and heated this winter.&nbsp;Fast Trax is available on weekends for grab and go favorites.&nbsp;
