We both knew this was something special by our first date. Josh had managed to get free tickets to the Thursday night Panthers game and asked me to go with him. In typical Candace fashion, I jumped at the idea of a fun adventure. After giving everyone I knew my location (safety first! I couldn't just jump in the truck and ride down to Charlotte with a stranger), we headed to the stadium. Unbeknownst to me, Josh couldn't download the tickets so we spent the entirety of the drive nervously chatting while he stayed on hold trying to get the tickets to transfer (spoiler alert: he ended up just buying tickets about 20 minutes out to save the date).

We quickly connected on old viral videos, music and our sense of humor. I couldn't even tell you who the Panthers played that day. Cliche to say, but the rest is history. We have been by each other's side ever since.
