Once upon a time in 2015, Joshua was scrolling on social media and saw a post that caught his attention. The post was a video of a girl having a mini-concert in the mirror and her name was Kiara. From that moment they exchanged numbers and became very close friends. Many days were filled with sending each other DM’s over just about everything and nights filled with many long conversations. During this time Joshua and Kiara lived in two different states. Joshua was getting his degrees in Texas while Kiara was getting hers in Louisiana.

One night, Joshua and Kiara talked about officially meeting one another in person. Joshua pointed out that he had now moved to Houston which made them only two hours away from each other. The two decided to meet up at TSU where he was playing basketball for fun with some friends. They were both extremely excited to see each other. Once they were in person, they realized the friendship, the energy, and the aura was exactly the same as it was over the phone. The years passed and the two were still close friends. They were checking in on one another occasionally and being there for one another when needed.

One day, Kiara let Joshua know that she was coming home and she wanted to see him. The two planned their first date at Chili’s because they loved $5 margaritas. That one date turned into many others. Joshua was traveling back and forth to see Kiara taking her on many adventures and beach dates. Joshua and Kiara were casually dating for 2 years until they decided to make things exclusive.

While things were exclusive, the two were learning a lot about each other. A lot of things they loved and a lot of things they hated. At a point in their relationship, they decided to take some time apart so they could reconnect with themselves and God. During that time, Joshua prayed and prayed asking for a sign from God. He received his sign on a Sunday which led him to propose.

They spent 7 years searching for the right princess and the right frog just to realize they were right for each other all along. From that day forward the two will live happily ever after.
