Matched online in 2021, Max & Josh took two several-hours-long phone conversations to decide that they had to meet.

Within a week, Max & Josh met for the first time, and were pretty much inseparable from that point onwards. They started to meet every weekend and talk every day, and after Max's lease ended in March 2022, it only took one month of her traveling in Asia before they decided to move in together when she got back.

Over the following 2+ years, Josh & Max went on increasingly long trips together, starting with Richmond, VA; then Asheville, NC; continuing north up to New York and Massachusetts, then to Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC, and over to Virginia Beach for a weekend, just before the 4th of July, 2023, when Max decided to hand over the love letters she'd been writing to Josh once a week since June 2022. She started with the most recent one - asking him to marry her.

He said yes.

Josh & Max had an intimate ceremony in front of immediate family only on 12.22.23, and look forward to celebrating all that's happened over the last few years with our friends and family the following summer.
