This was the night Joshua and Sarah met at a Dare2Share conference. Joshua had come from Washington to visit but decided to give Colorado a second chance. Sarah led youth group worship every Sunday, and Joshua had a sudden interest in attending.

This photo was taken by a giggling middle schooler the night Joshua asked Sarah out on a date. They went thrifting and Sarah convinced Joshua that he looked great in a yellow hat they found. Sarah was wearing this hat when Joshua proposed 1.5 years later. They started dating on Christmas day.

The youth group battles were fought valiantly. They spent a lot of time studying together and enjoying lots of time with each other's families.

Joshua and Sarah spent many dates thrifting and sightseeing in various towns. Broadway Street in Denver and Main Street in Estes Park are their favorites.

Joshua and Sarah have a shared passion for backpacking and enjoying nature. Entertainment provided by their trusted chaperones.

After high school, Joshua and Sarah began long-distance dating. This photo was taken at the airport before Sarah left for a month of missions.

Sarah survived less than a week at CMU before needing to come back to see Joshua. They saw each other about once a month as Sarah started her freshman year and Joshua finished up his associate's degree on the front range.

Both Joshua and Sarah have a love for food. Their favorite restaurants are PHO 79, Country Thai, and Ted's Burgers.

They love going to country concerts and rodeos. This photo was taken at the Denver Stock Show. One of their first dates was watching the Longhorn Parade in Denver.

After a lovely Christmas break spent together, they had one more semester of long-distance. Joshua worked very hard with Pioneer Landscaping and Sarah was accepted into CMU's BSN program.

Birthdays are a very important occasion.

They were both able to meet each other's extended family at several family gatherings. They are grateful for their family's love and support.

Joshua proposed on an island in Dillon Reservoir. It was a complete surprise to Sarah. Joshua had planned a picnic with all of her favorite snacks. Both families were on shore to celebrate, and it was a wonderful day!

Sarah and Joshua were able to join their old youth group as leaders for a mission trip to Guadalajara, Mexico. Sarah led VBS and Joshua ran the work projects.

Joshua and Sarah started college together at CMU. Sarah is in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and is the CMU Compost Manager. Joshua is majoring in Energy and Land Management and playing rugby.
