Our Wedding

Josh and Tay’s journey started almost a decade ago. What started as friendship in high school took a turn in 2016, when Tay had her Clueless moment, “Wait... I love Josh.” From that moment on, they’ve been inseparable. Their high school days were filled with movie nights, Dutch Bros Coffee runs, and endless laughter. In 2018, after graduating, they took on new adventures in different states, each pursuing their dream of playing collegiate sports — Josh in baseball at Central Washington University, and Tay in softball at Colorado State University–Pueblo. Though 1,312 miles apart, distance only made their love stronger. Through every hardship and challenge, they were each other’s biggest supporters. In 2022, their long-distance chapter came to a close when they moved in together in Colorado. A year later, they added Stark — their lovable Goldendoodle — to the family, the perfect cherry on top of their love story. Today, Josh and Tay are both teaching in beautiful Colorado and are moving to Nevada shortly after their big day. In May 2025, they got engaged — and now, they’re saying “I do” as they officially become The Touheys!

Pretty much a must see. Open year round for free self-guided tours, hikes, and exercise. It does close early on concert days so check the daily schedule before planning a trip that way. Depending on what days you are visiting, you could buy tickets for a concert or a Saturday yoga class. Highly recommend a concert if you can.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Hiking. Multiple trails. Strupp Fam recommends Rattlesnake Gulch Trail. Timed entry reservations on the weekend and holidays. Daily vehicle pass. Limited Parking, so may have to wait to get in, but worth the wait!

Eldorado Canyon State Park

Hiking. Multiple trails. Strupp fam recommends Mt. Falcon Upper Loop Trail. We saw a bear in a tree here!

Mount Falcon Park

Hiking. Open area. Picturesque. Strupp fam recommends the Chautauqua and Bluebell Trail Loop. Parking fee. You can go explore University of Colorado Boulder (CU) campus and shop on Pearl Street nearby.

Chautauqua Park

A favorite city of ours. Historic downtown. Walk around Clear Creek. Lots of hiking, shopping, and breweries to explore.

Golden, Colorado

Absolutely beautiful views in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Garden of the Gods offers both self-guided and guided tour options to explore its stunning landscapes. Parking is free, but it can get very busy during peak times.

Garden of the Gods

Manitou Incline is a steep, challenging hike in Colorado Springs with nearly 2,000 feet of elevation gain. Self-guided. Parking is not available at the trailhead, so visitors usually park in Manitou Springs and walk or shuttle in.
