We met in a rather modern way- on Bumble. Emily likes to joke that she made the first move, and well, she's right! But sometimes the first move is all that it takes, and from that very first date, Emily knew that she'd met someone special.

For Joshua, the realization that Emily was "the one" came in a way neither of them could have predicted: during a fight on the 4th of July! Yes, you read that right- while most couples might think of fireworks, ours were a little more emotional. But in that moment, when things got heated, Joshua had a profound realization about the strength of our bond. It was a testament to the deep love and commitment we already shared- and, of course, to our ability to weather any storm together.

From the beginning, both of us knew that our relationship would be built on something bigger than ourselves- our faith in God. Our shared love for the Lord has been the cornerstone on which our relationship was founded. We both attend church regularly and lead separate bible studies, and are always seeking to grow deeper in our relationship with God and each other.

Though we're deeply passionate about our faith, we also have a lot of fun together! We both love chess, board games, and video games. Whether we are strategizing our next chess move or competing in a fierce board game match, we're always challenging and encouraging each other in a lighthearted way.

We've learned that faith, fun, and a lot of love make the perfect combination. As we continue this journey together, we are excited to see how God leads us into this next chapter of life. Our love story is just beginning, and we can't wait to celebrate this beautiful journey with all of you!
