Q + A

What should I pack?

- Passport - Plug Converter ( EU Plug Adapter/ Two Prong ) or Portable power adapter ( this will make your life easier) - Comfy walking shoes ( sightseeing will be long & fun) -Reusable water bottles ( save $$$) -Layer of clothes & jackets ( this is considered the winter month) -Portable Phone charger ( you'll be using your phone often) - Scarf or shawl ( If you visit churches, it's a requirement to cover your shoulders/ respect) - Crossbody/ forward facing purse ( avoid theft from touristy places )

Should I convert my money to Euros?

It's nice to have some cash in case you see something from a local shop or if you would like to tip a service like tour guide etc. If you do get Euros be sure to get it either from your local bank ( they will charge a low fee for converting) or If you decide to during your trip be sure to go to a BANK ATM, not a street ATM. Street ATM charge a crazy fee. When using a Credit Card, always choose in Euro Currency not USD. Credit Companies charge a conversion fee. Most places do accept Paypal and Apple Pay.

When is a best time to sight see?

Mid afternoon to about 6pm. Siestas' are a real thing and most stores/ restaurants close 1pm-4pm So have a big breakfast/early lunch and enjoy the culture! *reminder no food is permitted in the streets to avoid a fine.

Is there anything else I should know?

This year is the Jubilee, we will be at the tail end of the pilgrimage, but it is best to book everything in advance as tourist season will be more than expected. _ There are a lot of merchants especially on the streets in large cities like Roma, Florence, and Milan. Be sure to know where all your belongings are, and keep them close to you. Women: think forward facing cross body purses, light jewelry (if any) Men: nothing in back pocket ( ie: wallets, passports etc)
