We met in 2020 on a dating app, but we've come a long way since. On September 7th, 2023 (our third anniversary), we traveled to Nashville for a long weekend. Traveling is already nerve-wracking when you're constantly running late, but even more so when you're hoping TSA doesn't ruin your proposal by going through your bag. With the help of some friends, Jeremiah successfully tricked me into believing that we weren't getting engaged on this anniversary trip, even though I argued otherwise, so much so that I nearly ruined the whole thing. When we landed in Nashville and made it to our accommodations, he told me he had a gift for me & got down on one knee! I was right all along. - Josie
I started planning early January 2023. I wrote typed out a rough plan consisting of getting the ring, asking the parents, and planning a super-secret anniversary trip to Nashville. Getting the ring went pretty smooth, Josie had kept showing me rings she wanted and her ring size. While she was on a trip to Chicago in May I ordered the ring. I planned a trip to see my friend Josh that August in Davenport for his birthday, but shortly after I arrived, I left on a secret trip to Chicago to ask Josie's parents. When I showed up at the house, they were surprised but immediately knew what was going on. They then gave their blessing and we talked about the trip to Nashville. A few weeks after that, it was go time! We got on a plane and headed for Nashville. I was very nervous the whole way. Once we got to our hotel, I said I had a gift for her and got on one knee and she said yes! - Jeremiah
