Is there a dress code?
Yes! We are asking our guests to dress up with us! Semi-formal wear is requested. Semi-formal wear for gentlemen may include khakis/ slacks, button-up, ties are optional. For women, floor length/midi length dresses, or slacks and a blouse. Please no jeans or sneakers! We also ask the guests to avoid wearing colors reserved for the bride (cream, ivory, white).
Please keep in mind the ceremony is outdoors,
the cocktail hour is indoors/outdoors, and the reception is indoors but there is a balcony and option to go outside near the firepit.
Can I bring a guest
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as [Your Name] + [Guest's Name] if a plus one has been given to you.
Are kids welcome?
Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children at our wedding due to restricted numbers and space. This pertains to children of all ages including infants, toddlers, kids, and teens. Please refer to the 'RSVP' tab to see if we are able to accommodate your children. If we are unable to invite your children, we hope that you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! We recognize that mostly every guest is travelling, and we are grateful you are here. Please drink on us!
Is there a shuttle from the Inn and when should I arrive?
There will be a shuttle from the Bolton Valley Inn to The Ponds ceremony site. We recommend that you arrive around 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. This will give you a chance to find a seat and allow you to settle in before the excitement begins. Due to having an open bar, we ask that everyone takes the shuttle who plan on drinking and are staying at the Inn.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We ask that you kindly put your phone away and on silent for an unplugged ceremony. We have a very great photographer, and we will absolutely share the photos with you. You can take your phones out for the cocktail hour and reception! We kindly ask that you do not take photos of children in our wedding unless you are given permission from their parents.
How does seating work?
The ceremony will be open seating to sit whatever you please. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables, so our guests are sat by those they know (or their plus one/ partners know.)
What should I do if I can't make it to the wedding?
We will miss you dearly, but we certainly understand. If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "No" so we can plan accordingly.
