Mario and Journee met in college, September of 2020 in Fremont, Nebraska. They grew closer together and were friends for quite a few months.

In January of 2021, Mario flew out to Utah to visit Journee and her family and the two began dating on January 12, 2021.

Mario and Journee had dated for a few years until they decided to move in together a year after they started dating. A few years had gone by with them and their one dog Bonita who is a chocolate lab. Later on, in July of 2023, Mario and Journee brought home a golden retriever puppy named Gibson.

Another year went by and on February 18, 2024, Mario got down on one knee and proposed in Queen Creek, Arizona surrounded by Journee's closet family. They cannot wait to begin their new life together and experience what is to come.
