We first met at a Martins Ferry High School football game, but only in passing. Little did we know what the future had in store for us. We were formally introduced in May of 2020 during an outdoor get together of mutual friends. We both had an initial interest in each other, but Joy was going onto her first year at Muskingum University, and Elijah was starting his senior year of high school, so nothing came of it. We kept in touch for a few months, but decided not to pursue anything. It wasn’t until Joy was back for a weekend in October that feelings were sparked between us. All it took was one two hour conversation in a car, talking about anything and everything, and we were both swooned. We began our relationship on January 6th, 2021 and got engaged 3 years later on January 6th, 2024. We are excited to be tying the knot on December 20th, 2025 and absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
