Through every season leading to us meeting, we've learned two essential ingredients to life:

Acknowledging our humanity with its brokenness, and pursuing the face of God and His righteousness.

Joy being born and raised in Zambia for the majority of her life, and Wesley being born in Indianapolis then living in southwest Michigan, it was only by divine orchestration that our paths met. By crossing seas, you could say our love for each other was (s)Pacific! We both sought first the Kingdom of God and volunteered to intern for a ministry organization, International Friends Inc. Though the connection we had wasn't romantic initially, we were both moved by each other spiritually. Lord Jesus continued to prune and purge our hearts separately and that drew us closer together magnetically, give or take a year. Throughout that time, we both received confirmations, and Joy, being the communicator, said the dreaded question that can make or break any relationship.

"So...what are we?"

We spent some time in prayer, waiting for the Lord to give us the greenlight, and when it was given, we started building a more intimate and Christ-centered relationship that has led to many beautiful memories, wise counsel, and faith in what God has in store for us.
