This union has been prophesized over since we were 4 years old, thanks to Mr. Tony Marshall (Zach's Grandfather). Zach and Joy met at splashtown when they were kids and continued to hear their names be thrown around by the adults as they grew up. They did share a quick date when they were 15 (2014) or so at main event and no sparks flew, and as Zach says gave us some time to marinate on the matter. Fast forward 7 years later (2021) to Joy's last year in college, Zach fresh out of the a Marines and starting his real estate career, Miss. Charlie Rose Gordon was the last ingredient to the marinade to get the conversation going again. The sweet picture Zach had posted on instagram appealed to Joy's love of kids and so she responded with a witty remark and Zach kept the conversation going. A month of messaging passed and finally Zach asked Joy out to Slackers where they could play arcade games on Halloween night. The two were only supposed to spend a couple hours together but time flew and they looked up and it was 3AM. Finally the two parted from their first “hangout” smitten. A couple months passed and Joy was still coming home to “see her family”, and Zach was still seeing “you know Joy from church” that his grandpa introduced him to, then by December the couple were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. 1 year and 2 months later (February 28 2023) Zach got down on a knee and asked Joy to marry him.
