Our first meeting was over hundreds of miles and a cheap headphone speaker as we discussed Dungeons and Dragons. Throughout many game sessions and side bars, our friendship grew until in 2018, we decided that perhaps we felt a little deeper for each other than merely friendship could define.


It was not easy with university and my career taking me from Florida, to North Carolina, and then Texas without ever seeming to line up with Minnesota— where Michael lived. Yet, holding on to our love despite the delays and distance was so worth it when, in 2021, Michael was finally able to move down to Texas to be with me.


In time, we decided to move to Minnesota to live here, together this time, as the opportunity was right for both of us. Over the years, we had gotten to know each other intimately, becoming each other's confidant, closest friend, and shoulder to lean on. It was natural to discuss a lifetime together and to think about a future built upon the foundation of our love and connection.


We decided to make that future a reality in June 2025 and hope that our families and loved ones will be able to join us on this day as we finally say I do!
