Juan and I met in 2015 at Tri Tech Skills Center. I was a radio student, and Juan was a former student who came to visit Ed Dailey, a paramount influence during both of our younger years. Our shared interest in the local music scene and mutual friends aided in a budding friendship. As the years went on, we gradually lost touch and explored our own paths before reconnecting in the summer of 2022. Our friendship picked up right where it had left off and grew deeper with each passing day. After a year of being bullied by friends and family to date each other, we decided that we might as well give a romantic relationship a shot. And boy, was it a shot worth taking.
