Jordan's Side of the Story

Juan and I first met in world geography our freshman year (which he does not remember). I remember thinking that he was pretty nice, but that was as far as the train of thought went. We didn't have another class together until senior year AP chemistry, where we were assigned seats next to each other. I asked him for help on the assignments the first few weeks, and that was about as far as our conversations went, and when we were told that we could move seats, I was the only one in the class who did (which I would end up regretting later). Homecoming rolled around, and I had plans to go with my friends, plans that I was very content with, which I found out they had changed the week of homecoming. My mom told me that I would be wingmanning for one of my friends, and Juan was going to wingman for Hector. This was the most awkward experience of my life. We went to take group photos, and no one was talking. We got to the dance, and Juan said something along the lines of "Y'all don't have to stay with us the whole night," to which I responded by running away. However, when the first slow song came on, Juan found me and asked me to dance. After that we began seeing each other (I invited him over for board games, and I lost; he invited me to his high school small group; he went as Freddy Mercury to Falyn's Halloween party). Then we went on our first date and saw the movie "Resident Evil" (the movie was 1/5 stars, by the way), and a few days later he (sort of) asked me to be his girlfriend. We went on our first official date as a couple on a double date with Grace and Canyun to the Emily Ann Theater "Trail of Lights" and the rest is history.

Juan's Side of the Story

Homecoming was soon, and my best man, Hector "Jando" Herrera, had just secured a date to the dance. Lucky for me, his date had a friend who paired with me. Jordan and I met for the first time (outside of school) down at the Cypress Creek River near the Creekhouse restaurant in Wimberley, TX, to take photos for our double date to the dance. After Jordan witnessed my dance moves, I was invited for dinner the next day. The chili was delicious. And just like that, she couldn't stay away from me. Jordan cheered me on at the football game that week and said hi after the game. I could tell Jordan liked me because, despite being sweaty from the game, she hugged me for a picture we took together. Long story short, I'd go on to propose at the first place we met, down by the river among the Cypress trees.

I met Hector (Jando) for the first time during football our freshman year in high school. He invited me to community group, and since my commute to school was 30 minutes from home one way, I stayed the night and met his family. Since then, Jando has been a brother to me, along with being a part of the Herrera family. I am grateful to have him as my best man. I love you, Jando!

Falyn and I grew up together even though we were sometimes apart by several hours, we were always there for each other. She has taken the sister role in my life, without ever being related. Since we were kids, we've been dreaming of the day where we would help plan each others weddings, and now it's here. She's my best friend, my ride-or-die, and I'm beyond blessed to have her as my maid of honor.

Matthew is soon to be my brother-in-law, although I call him a brother already. Competitive spirit, level head, and patriot at heart. I love you, Matthew!

One of my future sister-in-law's! Anna shares my love of games (and competitiveness -  game nights are always a treat). Anna's a very funny person and she's been so helpful during the wedding process, I'm so excited that I'll get the treat of her empanadas at the future family gatherings.

Faith and I met in my sophomore year of college and immediately bonded over our love of books. She's always been one of my biggest supporters, and I'm so grateful to know her. She's also one of the people that led me to my church, and I would not be where I am today without her.

Canyun and I were fast runners in sports. We shared time in football and track under gold medals. I'm proud of who he has become. I'm grateful to have Canyun as a groomsman. I love you, Canyun!

As we would like it to be close friends and family on our special day, we kindly ask that you only RSVP for the names on the invitation.

what is the attire?

Our dress code is formal, but we ask that all of our guests would wear black!

will there be a hotel block?

There will not be a hotel block, however there are a few AirBNB's nearby as well as other hotels that you can check out!

Will it be an indoor or outdoor venue?

The ceremony will be outside, underneath a pavilion with fans. Following the ceremony, you will be welcomed to stay outside or head inside towards the reception hall, where we'll be for the rest of the night!

what if i have dietary restrictions?

We are doing build your own tacos as our main dish, which means if you have any dietary restrictions, you'll be able to avoid it!
