It all started when Chloe decided she wanted to run a marathon. Chloe thought she could go back to her high school days of running cross country, but she quickly found out it was much more boring to train and run alone. (She also forgot many of the stretches one should do before running insane mileage).

Judah, looking for love, out of the goodness of his heart, offered to show Chloe some stretches and also told her that he would run with her while she trained, if she wanted. Chloe, looking for someone to talk to, agreed.

For about 2 months, Chloe and Judah would run with each other in the MSUM Wellness Center two, sometimes three, days a week. They chatted about life, dreams, hopes, family, goals, and everything in between. They quickly became good friends and got to know each other well.

Right before Christmas break, Judah asked Chloe if they could talk. When they met up, Judah shared that he wanted to be more than running buddies and wanted to take her on a date once school started back up in January. Chloe agreed, and they continued talking during Christmas break, even when they were apart.

Flash forward to January—Judah takes Chloe out on the world's fanciest date. We're talking all the stops—picked her up, brought her to one of Fargo's fanciest restaurants (where you can't even pronounce half the dish names), and to finish dinner brought her to the rooftop of the restaurant where they sat in an inflatable igloo and drank 1919 root beer and continued talking. Chloe did not know it would be this fancy of a date, so she wore her signature skull t-shirt over a fishnet long sleeve and black jeans. Nonetheless, she had fun.

Flash forward (again) to April—3 months have gone by, but a lifetime of experiences. Judah started taking Chloe on less fancy dates so she wasn't so freaked out, and Chloe got to flex her amateur figure skating skills a few times. They even went on a missions trip overseas together. Judah waited patiently, and once Chloe knew in her heart that this was the man she was going to marry, she said yes to officially being his girlfriend.

Judah and Chloe would go on to date for a little over a year, making memories and meeting each others' families. Judah tried fruit for the first time (we're talking like blueberries and cantelope and basic fruits), and Chloe got crushed in QWIXX more times than she'd like to admit. They finally ran the half marathon that initially brought them together (Chloe beat Judah by a few seconds for those wondering (they weren't wondering - Judah)). They went on many adventures together, one date standing out in particular. Chloe wanted to take Judah to North Dakota's largest waterfall (look it up, it's a thing) and go hiking, but when they arrived they were immediately met by a family reunion of ticks. That plan was abandoned quickly so they packed up their picnic and drove the hour and a half back to Fargo. Chloe googled 'parks in Fargo/Moorhead' and they found a random park to have their picnic in. They ended up having a blast and most importantly, Chloe got to fly her kite. Looking back on that date, it was the moment both Judah and Chloe realized that they truly loved each other.

In June 2024, Judah took Chloe back to that same park and asked her to marry him. She considered doing a bit, but decided this wasn't the time or place, so she said Yes, of course. (Judah was very grateful for this response).

Now, Judah and Chloe look forward to spending the rest of their lives together, honoring God and serving their neighbors. They are so excited for what is to come, and are even happier to have you all as friends, family, and supporters in their lives.
