We unofficially met at his cousin's wedding. We didn't talk much that night but let's just say that we both made an impression on each other! And now here we are 6 years later getting married ourselves! :)

For our first date Nick actually came to pick me up and the two of us went to Uncle Jacks in Independence. After ordering our dinner and eating the two of us stayed there for at least 2 hours just talking and getting to know each other.

We were taking a group trip with four of our best friends to Rolla Missouri to go to Fugitive Beach. I honestly had no idea that it was coming! We had spent all day on Saturday at the beach and that night we all dressed up and went out to eat at a Japanese steakhouse. When we were walking back out to our car is when Nick got my attention and when I turned around and saw him on one knee to say I was shocked would be an understatement. My exact words to him numerous times were "IS THIS FOR REAL?!" I of course said yes after the shock wore off!
