We love to tell this story so you've probably heard it before...

Jules started working at AOL in early 2007, where Jared had already been established in the world of digital media and music for a few years. Jules' reputation for incredible athletic prowess quickly circulated the AOL sales floor. A crew of large, gruff sales guys immediately started stopping by her desk each day to beg her to join the AOL corporate softball team. Jules was NOT interested. Finally, one day she gave in and agreed to play in one game. She found herself sandwiched in the back of a tiny BMW on her way to Randall's Island for her very first softball game. Although she cannot remember anything about that game, or how she or the team did, she can remember locking eyes with center fielder Jared at post-game drinks at the dirty Upper East Side bar The Back Page. The two softball rookies made an instant connection over bad draft beer and buffalo wings. After that night, Jules decided that she loved softball, and ultimately became captain of the team, making sure to organize a team bonding event every single week. Jared never missed a game.
