Details: • We will be sailing with Newport Classic Cruises on two separate sailing yachts, the Madeleine and the Adirondak II. • Please meet at 23 Bowen’s Wharf, Newport Classic Cruise Kiosk at 4:30pm. You will see the Welcome Party sign and the Newport Classic Cruise crew will be on hand to direct you to the right boat. Our sail time is 5:00 p.m. but we ask that you be at the wharf and ready to board the boat by 4:30 p.m. • We will sail weather permitting. The captain will make a decision in advance of our sail time (likely early in the day) and we will reach out by text or email if necessary. • Please keep in mind that the departure time on each boat is exact and cannot be extended. Unfortunately, we cannot hold the boat for any late arrivals since the charter company has designated times to go in and out of the harbor. • Each sail will go out into the Narragansett Bay and will last 1.5 hours. Drinks and light snacks will be served by the crew. For the most part you will be sitting during the sail but the cockpit is large enough to move around and there are restrooms for your convenience. • Please dress casually and flat shoes are recommended. The crew advised that it is usually 10 degrees cooler on the water. • If driving to the wharf, given that it is high season, the charter company recommends allowing an extra 60 minutes to park and get to the wharf. We were advised that Uber/Lyft are not always reliable on the island and another option to consider is Orange Cab Company of Newport (401) 841-0030. Shuttle leaves the hotels at 3:30pm. There is also plenty of parking at the venue!
