Oh the story of Pat and Jules...

On that fateful Wednesday evening back in Fall 2017, Patrick Andrew Williams, a Minnesota native with a big brain full of numbers and spreadsheets, walked into the life of Julie Marie Masterson, Chicago born-Wisconsin Raised-Minnesota Educated with design constantly on her mind. On a sunny autumn evening, after a particularly invigorating game of recreational kickball, the teams met back at the sponsor bar to rival off the field. Julie admittedly had her eyes on a blissfully ignorant Pat on the field. We imagine it is not a shock to hear that Julie did NOT grab Pat's attention in the same way during game time. However, once his distracting athleticism was out of the picture and everyone together post game - the social butterfly tried her very best to get that hello. Either Julie's efforts proved ineffective, or Pat was playing hard to get (a cheeky disagreement still intact today), his seeming indifference forced a friend to step in on her behalf. Shout out to our dear friend Andres for insisting that Pat take Julie's number - and getting their story on track. Pat was fresh out of school and Julie was just settling into her professional role. After some back and forth, this and that, and most importantly - some growth, Pat and Jules found their way into something real and solid July of 2018. Over the course of the next 4 years, they melded friend groups, spent time with each other's families, enjoyed their twenties in Uptown Minneapolis, and of course - kept playing kickball. They both finally realized what they had been looking for all along, was each other. Summer of 2021 rolled around, and they tore up every wedding dance floor, moved into a sweet little house, celebrated promotions, welcomed new family members, travelled, and found home together. A far lovelier description of what brought them even closer together - overcoming hectic calendars, professional setbacks, a pandemic, the reality of home ownership, and the delicate balance of holiday scheduling. Pat and Jules grew together in every way. Somehow amidst the chaos and even in the lulls, they found both light, laughter, and love in everything they did. Life simply couldn't be done without each other from there on out. On to 2022 they went. Julie's 30th birthday approached, and the eve of the party, Pat popped the question in front of a beautiful waterfall in Hudson, WI. To Julie's EXTREME surprise, she managed to choke out a yes admist the tears. The day ensued to endless surprises of family and friends ready to celebrate the occasion. With their help, the couple rallied for the prehistoric festivities the following day, and rung in Julie's 30th year of life with a big bang. Somehow Pat made planning the most thoughtful, heart bursting, weekend of their lives seem easy. What a way to kick it off - the pair can only hope to match that weekend's surreal elatedness with their wedding celebration. We can't wait for you to join us!

If you are not familiar, check out the "Things to Do" page. Lake Geneva is a destination city. To ensure nearby accommodations for our big day, early booking is highly recommended. End of September is still peak season for this area, rooms will fill up!&nbsp;

Since this is a destination type city, the units are privately owned and often accommodate longer stays. There are some larger rooms to allow for shared groups that may be more cost effective for your time there than the individual room rate. :)

Please mention you are part of the Masterson/Williams wedding party. This is about a 5 minute drive to the Riviera Ballroom.We have a shuttle for the cocktail hour, end of reception, and after party - so not to worry!

Flying into Chicago, IL's other airport (Midway International Airport) then to Lake Geneva is about 1 hr 45 min.

Walk, talk and gawk over some spectacular estates around Lake Geneva. The path is 23 miles along the shoreline with various access points and FREE to the public! One of the most common places to start is&nbsp;near Riviera Beach by the Lake Geneva Public Library, which is located in downtown Lake Geneva. (ask your hotel or head to the Cornerstone for a broacher/map)

If your feeling the need to fuel your history passion, this is the activity for you! The estate is open for public tours only accessible by boat. The home was commissioned by beer baron Conrad Seipp in 1888 as a summer cottage enjoyed by four generations. Allow yourself about 3 hours to complete the tour.

A drive through safari! SAY NO MORE. Experience the beauty of this wild life preserve through the comfort of your vehicle. Purchase some grain to feed animals from your windows or sunroof. Online reservation is required, so get that general admission and let the fun begin!
