From The Bride

I first met Sam the day that I graduated with my Master's Degree. I popped into my job alone to say hi to my coworkers and celebrate before heading home for the night. I sat down next to a regular customer I served in the past but never really spoke to at great length. A giant and quiet guy named Sam, who had dark hair and expressive, beautiful blue-hazel eyes. We got to chatting and he convinced me to go out to eat with him instead of shoveling down a Wendy's cheeseburger in a drive thru alone in my car. After that, we slowly became friends. I found myself wanting to hang out with him more and more. Always sad when we parted. Finding myself wanting to text him about every dumb thought. Texts never grew stale, we shared gifs and puns, laughter sprouted from every conversation. My family often caught me grinning at my phone. I slowly fell for Sam and his witty, loud, courageous, and passionate nature. I learned how loyal he was for those he loved, and how he'd do anything within his power to help anyone he cares about. I also found out firsthand about his diehard dedication to the Ohio State football team, their joyous victories and devastating losses. One random fall day I told Sam "We're dating now" and hoped he didn't say otherwise. And after trying to work up the nerve to kiss the guy, we shared our first kiss in that brewery parking lot. I grinned the whole ride home and I couldn't stop smiling for days. And now here we are, at the beginning of our next chapter to our love story. We hope you'll be there to see it unfold.

From The Groom

While Juli's story about us meeting at Line Creek is true, I was smitten much before she ever noticed me. Juli's first training shift at the brewery I had stopped in to chat with some other friends and have a refreshment or two, only to notice an unfamiliar face behind the bar. As our table was talking, someone was telling a story when a quiet voice from around the corner shouted out "That's what she said" and an adorable malicious giggle followed. I knew then and there that no matter what we were going to be great friends. Over the following months our interaction was more limited as she was focusing on finishing up her Master's but every once in a while during a break, she would start to let her true self show and I began fall for her. Coincidentally, the day of her graduation, I had taken my grandma to dinner at the Curious Pig and came back up to the brewery after just to hang out on a pretty May day. Juli was sitting at the bar with another friend of ours having a celebratory drink. After sitting down and congratulating her, Juli said she had no plans other than to go through a drive through. I took my liquid courage and refused to allow her to celebrate graduating by having a burger and insisted on going out to dinner, where the Curious Pig was promptly chosen as an option. I didn't care, for the first time I was finally able to spend some more personal time with this cute girl from the brewery. From there, we became great friends while we both figured out what we were looking for until November 4th, 2022. Coming back from the place of our first date, Juli told me "Oh yeah, I forgot that I told Jadyn (her niece) that we are dating now". My heart skipped a beat and I would pay any amount of money for a picture of my face in that moment because I don't think I stopped smiling for three days. About a year and a half later, she put that same smile on my face again when she said yes.
