How to get there?
Pursell Farms is an hour south of Birmingham and two and a half hours west of Atlanta. If you are flying in or out of Atlanta, please note that Sylacauga (Pursell Farms) and Atlanta are in different time zones as we do not want anyone missing their flight on the way home. If you are landing in Birmingham around rush hour, the drive will likely be closer to an hour and a half.
Denver folks: There is only one direct flight on Thursday from Denver to Birmingham that will get you to Pursell Farms in time for the rehearsal dinner and post toast. It is the ~10am United flight. There are Southwest flights that aren't direct that would work as well. On the way home, there is a direct Southwest flight that leaves Sunday morning that gets you back to Denver at a good time.
Transportation to and from the airport: We would recommend renting a car. Please note that once you get to Pursell, you will be able to park the car and will not have to leave the property. Uber may get you to Pursell Farms but it is unlikely to get you back to Birmingham from Pursell Farms. If you'd prefer a taxi, Pursell recommended Prestige Limousine (205-379-1148) out of Birmingham as the most reliable. If you have a big group, Over The Mountain Sedan (205-260-9554) is another option that I have used for work and would recommend- they can take up to 7 people in a Tahoe for $275. Other options that I have not vetted are included in this link: https://www.flybirmingham.com/taxi-service/.
Thanks for making the trip. It’s going to be a blast and we love you all.
