The Liriodendron Mansion
502 W Gordon St, Bel Air, MD 21014
The historic Liriodendron mansion, built in 1898, was the summer residence of Dr. Howard A. Kelly, one of the four founding physicians of Johns Hopkins Hospital. The estate was sold to Harford County in the late 1970s.
Liriodendron (leer-ee-o-dendron) is the botanical name for the tulip poplar, many of which can be found around the grounds of the historic property in Bel Air, Maryland.
