Citizens traveling with passports from Australia, Canada and the United States visiting Brazil for tourism and business will be subject to visa requirements for entry into Brazilian territory starting from April 10th, 2025. The visa is electronic, and is done completely online.
E-visas can be processed on the Brazilian government website:

It's important to process your visa at least 3 weeks before traveling to avoid any issues with time. It is linked to your passport.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to Colin or Julia for assistance.
Should I get vaccines before visiting Brazil?
Vaccines are not required for visiting Brazil. Many people recommend getting the Yellow Fever vaccine, however it is not common to get this fever in this region.
Of course, staying up to date on your tetanus and other routine vaccines is always a good idea.
We recommend bringing bug spray to keep the mosquitos off. We will also provide bug spray at the venue.
What type of power adapter is used in Brazil?
Brazil uses a type N connector (the same as most of Europe)
There are many cheap adapters available on Amazon which allow you to use your USA plugs while staying here.
Do I need to convert cash to Brazilian reais?
Visa and Mastercard are accepted everywhere in Brazil, and American Express is widely accepted as well. Of course, it's recommended to advise your credit card company that you'll be traveling to avoid any fraudulent charge issues.
If you prefer to use cash, we can go to a currency exchange in Uberlândia, where the rate is much better than in the airports.
FUN FACT: Tipping is not common in Brazil, and is not expected at restaurants, services like taxis, etc.
Is the toilet paper thing true?
Yes! It's very different from American culture, but it is true. Most of Brazil is built on old wastewater infrastructure, and as a result, Brazilians throw toilet paper into the trash. Flushing toilet paper can lead to blockages and plumbing issues. You'll find a small trash can in each bathroom for this purpose. The trash bags are changed daily.
