We matched on a dating app (Thanks Hinge!).

We talked through Mardi Gras break and decided to meet up for a dinner date. Where we were both extremely nervous but had a delightful 5-hour dinner date. Side note was supposed to be Hibachi, but the Hibachi was closed. However, it turned out well because Julia and Matt had a lovely time. They continued to go out and talk in the preceding months. During this time, they met each other's families, including Julia's cat (who decided that she liked Matt, and he could stay). Five months in Matt realized he was in love with Julia, and lucky for him she felt the same way. Matt was nervous to reveal that he was about to have hip replacement surgery, while Julia was also about to reveal her medical history as well. Fortunately, it worked out well because they both stuck around and cared for each other. They are looking forward to celebrating with their friends and family as they get ready to spend the rest of their lives together.
