Almost ten years ago, James met Julia. It was August of 2014 when they met as college freshmen. Immediately, James was drawn to Julia's down to earth personality, and she was drawn to his knowledge of pop culture (and skill of keeping a conversation going) and it was after their first conversation that Julia realized that he would become a potential best friend. Life happened as life does, and the years went by. Throughout college, James and Julia's friendship strengthened and he was slowly becoming one of the few people she could tell anything to. They had a lot in common, sharing their niche sense of humor, pop culture, quoting movies and of course, music. It was when James made Julia the first mix CD that she had a hunch that he liked her. Though she wasn't ready to commit, James' stuck around as a friend, supportive and caring, always cheering her on through all of her struggles. It was the winter of 2016 that Julia realized she had feelings for James, and wanted their friendship to transcend to something more. They spent more time together, sharing their love for music and film, and eventually, at the beginning of 2017, they ended up making it official. March was that month, on the eleventh, which was Julia's lucky number.

3 apartments, a new city, and a pet cat later, the last six years have only strengthened their relationship. Their relationship has never been perfect in the way most would assume, but it's perfect to them.

The couple plans to move to Salem, Oregon after they're married - hoping to start their careers in music and writing, and ultimately begin their lives together; a fresh start, a beginning.
