Julia and Tyler first crossed paths in high school, but their story truly began in 2021. After reconnecting, Julia made the first move—but Tyler quickly matched her energy, planning memorable first dates filled with outdoor adventures in the mountains, winter skating, and long walks in the cold. They officially began dating in February 2021, and it was clear from the start that their connection was something special.

At the time, Tyler was living in Kelowna, finishing his engineering degree, while Julia was continuing her schooling to become a teacher. Despite spending some time apart, their relationship only grew stronger. Once Tyler moved back to Calgary, they bonded over competitive board game nights (where neither will ever admit defeat) and a shared love of camping that brought them even closer.

Both athletic by nature, they each have their own go-to sport, but still try each other’s—particularly impressive given Tyler’s ever-growing list. No matter the activity, their favourite moments are the quiet ones: sitting by the fire, whether camping under the stars, gathered around a bonfire, or cozied up at home.

They spend their time cooking fun meals, painting, playing games, going for walks, and making memories with their families. In 2023, Julia and Tyler moved in together, continuing to grow closer each day. On October 5, 2024, during a mountain adventure that felt perfectly full-circle, Tyler proposed. Overjoyed, they couldn’t wait to share the news with their loved ones. In April 2025, they took their next big step and purchased their first home together.

From reconnecting years later to building a life side by side, their journey has been shaped by adventure, love, and laughter—and they are so excited to continue it together, forever finding home in each other. <3
