We met at Chestnut Grove Middle School in King, NC when Julia was in 8th grade and Bailey in 7th. We started with a quick friendship and moved into the middle school "dating phase". After Julia moved back to Arkansas, we stayed friends off and on before reconnecting during our senior year of college. We quickly fell into the flow of a long distance relationship, taking turns traveling to see the other each month. In July of 2022, Bailey was accepted into medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Julia accepted her first teaching job in Chapel Hill and moved back to North Carolina at the end of July 2022. We enjoyed falling into the rhythm of being in the same location and our relationship took off from there. We can often be found at a sporting event or in a competition with each other. Julia has continually supported Bailey in his medical career, while Bailey has continually supported Julia in both teaching and numerous hours of coaching. We got engaged on October 11th, 2024 at Jordan Lake and we can't wait to see where life takes us together!
