We are so excited to have you join us in the beautiful Nantahala National Forest for our wedding. Our venue is located in Topton, NC which is one of many hidden gems in WNC. We encourage all of our guests to embrace the outdoors and to plan ahead for their stay. Please use the resources below as a guide to help you plan your trip to our Lakeside venue. As Nantahala Lake is a common getaway destination in North Carolina, we recommend exploring your options earlier rather than later. If you're interested in sharing a cabin with others, please let us know and we can try to help coordinate or bring multiple guest groups together. The link below is very helpful and informative and we encourage you use this tool as you book your stay on the mountain top. Flying into North Carolina?
For those flying, Lake Nantahala is located 2.75 hours from Atlanta, GA, 2.5 hours from Chattanooga, TN 2 hours from Asheville, NC, and 2.5 hours from Knoxville, TN.
Helpful Advice for Traveling Guests
You will want to book your stay as soon as you can as Topton is a small town with limited availability.
The roads can be very winding with sharp, sudden turns, so please plan on going slower and taking your time getting to the mountain top. The EASIEST way to get to Topton is from the town of Andrews as it is far less curvy and much easier to drive. If you do drive to the venue from the town of Franklin, please keep in mind the roads are very curvy and often not the most ideal for folks who are unfamiliar with driving on the NC mountain roads.
Having said all of that about driving to the venue, please drink responsibly or and have a DD plan in place. If you need to schedule a ride to or from the event, you can contact the transportation option listed below to get things scheduled.
There is NO CELL SERVICE at the top of the mountain. Set up your GPS before leaving Andrews/Franklin and please be aware that you will have very limited cell reception. Most rental cabins and the wedding venue have land line phones you can use if needed. Wifi is also available at most rentals, as well as, the wedding venue but the weather can sometimes make this unreliable. But do not be afraid, we encourage you to unplug during your stay and enjoy the great outdoors with us.
