Joey and I met back in 2018. Many of you probably know the story of our first date at a bar… and the rest, as they say, is history. At the time, Joey lived in Ripon and I was in Rocklin—about an hour and a half apart. Despite the distance, we made time almost every weekend to see each other, whether it was just for a few hours or the whole weekend.
One of our favorite things to do early on was stock up on groceries and cook an extravagant meal, complete with a spread of dips and cheeses for appetizers—and, of course, enjoy a *couple* of drinks. Joey would play guitar, and we’d stay up talking and laughing into the early hours of the morning.
As time went on, Bodega Bay became our favorite getaway. It’s where Joey asked me to be his girlfriend, where he later proposed, and a place we’ve returned to again and again over the years. Now, we couldn’t be more excited to bring all of our family and closest friends together to celebrate our love story in the place that means so much to us—Bodega Bay.
