We are so excited to welcome you to our beloved city. Boston has been the backdrop of our love story, and we can't wait for you to experience its charm. We've put together this little guide to help you discover some of our favorite spots and create your own Boston memories.
Back Bay is one of our favorite areas, and it holds a special place in our hearts. We called this beautiful neighborhood home for a year before moving to Brookline, and it's where we'll be celebrating our special day at The Newbury. Here are some must-visits:
Sightseeing:
Public Garden: A beautiful garden in the heart of the city, right next to The Newbury.
Esplanade: Perfect for a morning walk/run along the Charles River.
Newbury Street: Boston's shopping destination, also great for people-watching and getting a bite to eat.
Restaurants:
Saltie Girl: Their lobster roll is one of our favorites in the city!
Little Whale Oyster Bar: Another great spot for fresh oysters and seafood.
Krasi: Meze and wine bar. Several people have told us Krasi is their favorite restaurant in the city. It's quite amazing.
The South End is Boston's hidden gem. This neighborhood has some of the best restaurants in the city, and its streets lined with beautiful brownstones make it a must see. Here are some recommendations if you find yourself in this part of town:
Sightseeing:
Union Park: Our old street, right off Tremont next to all the restaurants.
SoWa Art + Design District: A vibrant area full of galleries, studios, and a Sunday market.
Restaurants:
The Beehive: Where we had our first date! Great for jazz and cocktails. Brunch here is really amazing and highly recommend.
South End Buttery: The perfect spot for a cozy brunch, right next to our old apartment.
B&G Oysters: Our go-to when craving seafood.
Black Lamb: Quickly became a favorite for beers, cocktails and $1 oysters.
The North End is where we've shared several dinner dates and laughed through improv shows more than a few times. We recommend just exploring, but if you prefer a plan, here are some of our favorite spots:
Sightseeing:
Paul Revere House: This national historic landmark offers insight into revolutionary-era Boston.
Old North Church: The oldest standing church in Boston, famous for its "one if by land, two if by sea" signal during Paul Revere's midnight ride.
Restaurants:
Mike's Pastry and Modern Pastry: Find the best cannoli's in Boston.
Regina's Pizza: THE place for authentic Boston pizza.
Carmelina's: Some of the best homestyle Italian food we've ever had.
Bricco and Trattoria il Panino: Fancy dinner spots along Hanover Street.
Mare: Julia's birthday spot. Best Italian seafood in the city (in our opinion, at least!)
Beacon Hill is like stepping into old Boston. Enjoy walking around the cobblestone streets and get a picture on Acorn Street.
Sightseeing:
The Massachusetts State House: An iconic gold-domed building you can't miss.
Acorn Street: The most photographed street in Boston.
Restaurants:
Cheers: Yes, that Cheers. Great for a quick drink and some Boston nostalgia.
75 Chestnut: A cozy neighborhood spot with comfort food that hits the spot.
Figs: The best fig prosciutto pizza you'll ever have.
