Welcome to Julia &amp; Steve’s Wedding page! On this page you’ll find helpful elements like the RSVP link, my and Steve’s story, things to do if you’re traveling from out of town, and more. Also, huge shout out to our parents for helping us put our dream wedding together. Julian and June Fisher for hosting the reception, Fay Roosevelt for her ideas and help with Julia’s wedding dress, and Sal and Nancy Cavallaro for organizing our photography and rehearsal dinner. We love you all, and couldn’t ask for more supportive parents.

Our Wedding

The truth is, Steve and Julia had always loved one another. Yet, when they first met as teens, they each needed more time to grow into adult life. The future pairing somehow knew this throughout time as it went on. What was really profound to the both of them, was the fact that they always found each other again. So I love you because the universe conspired to help me find you, (The Alchemist, Coelho). Whether it was a year apart from seeing each other, or five years, one of them would magically appear at a social gathering, immediately excited to reconnect. The Universe finally allowed Steve and Julia to become partners 4 years ago, on April 11th 2022. This was always fate, and this was always love.Steve and Julia had the capacity to talk about anything and everything, no matter how much time passed. For Julia, it was Steves gapped toothed cackle over something she wouldnt normally laugh at, but Steve would get her to laugh. Even though Steve doesnt give himself enough credit for being compassionate, it didnt miss Julias observations of how Steve would talk to and embrace the weirdest patron in the bar (if it isnt them already.) One of the first attributes they saw within each other as young people, was the ability to be authentic with themselves and others. The authenticity was the start of true respect and admiration the couple held for each other. This was always fate, and this was always love.Steve and Julia connected through long hours of conversation, with a touch of karaoke. This was ultimately how they permanently found one another again. Remembering many years ago, chatting in Steves parent’s den over a movie and some drinks with Steve, Julia started looking forward to her weekends with Steve in 2022. They would enjoy not only interesting conversations during those weekends, but they would also challenge each other to games of chess (Julia is swooned at this point). Naturally and thankfully, Steve took Julia and Chicken into his home, at which point Julias love language became cooking (were not starving). Steves love language was always grounded moral support for Julia. From then on, Steve and Julia were inseparable. Each person inspired the other. Their spectrum of inspiration, to this day, could be anything from traveling at random to Barbados, taking a road trip together, meeting up with friends at a local bar, to simply enjoying home life together. This was always fate, and this was always love.In 2025, the New Year started off with a bang for Steve and Julia. There was an odd summer-like storm occurring, as Steve and Julia were challenging each other to crossword puzzles on a timer until the ball dropped. Once the ball dropped, so did Steve to his knee to propose to Julia. First Julia ran into the curtain, from pure excitement. THEN she allowed Steve to propose. The ring Steve proposed with was perfect, vintage, and nature inspired. Steve truly knew Julia in this fashion, and its inspired the theme for their wedding. Metaphorically, Steve and Julia are like a Gnome and Fairy cultivating a garden together. Gnomes protect and nourish the garden, while a fairy would bedazzle and enrich the same garden. It may have taken Steve and Julia a few moons to start building together. But now, this perfect weird star crossed pairing is ready to grow a garden together in marriage. This was always fate, and this was always love.PS: Julia broke her leg on Steves 40th Birthday February 23 rd, 2025. Steve was the best care taker in the world. If that isnt testimony to in sickness and in heatlh, then we dont what is. Always fate, always love, xoxo Conspiring Universe

The Mansion at Glen Cove

Travel

This is a historic park in Oyster Bay. There’s lots of greenery, flowers, trees. Perfect for strolling! 

Planting Fields Arboretum

This is one of Julia’s favorite restaurants. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, and adds a twist to traditional American dishes. The fish dishes in particular are tasty. 

The Brass Rail 

Now this is a hidden gem! You’ll have to look for the entrance near the railway tracks. This is one of Julia’s favorite spots to hike. It’s in the woods, and there’s a pond with giant fish somewhere along the trails. 

Shu Swamp Nature Preserve 

This is a great local hang spot that Julia and Steve enjoy. The brewery has a large space, with big opened windows, great tap beer and cocktail selections, and superb pub grub. WARNING: Do not bring your kids to the park that’s near here. That’s the park, with the slide, where Julia broke her leg! The slides gigantic, don’t do it.

Garvies Point Brewery 

Julia and Steve love to bowl here with their friends! You could do a couple bowling rounds, play some arcade games, or just sit and chill with some food and a cocktail.

AMF Syosset Lanes 

This is where Julia works! Perhaps a potential grown up Sunday Excursion? 

Mr.Beery's 

This is the best breakfast spot in town! Henry’s is one of the oldest establishments in Glen Cove, having operating since 1929. If you enjoy some classic breakfast dishes, paired with homemade chocolate on the way out, Henry’s is the place to go!
