Our story started out as many modern love stories do - with a simple swipe to the right. Julia happened to be celebrating her friend's bachelorette party down the shore.. just close enough to where Matt was that they ended up matching with each other.

After speaking over the phone for a few days, they quickly made plans to meet up in person. Their first date was at the Asbury Park Boardwalk. They walked around, got pizza, and chatted endlessly. It was a super-hot day, so they decided to go sit in Matt's car and blast the A/C for a while. They ended up sitting there & talking effortlessly for what felt like minutes but was actually several hours. Matt then wanted to show Julia the cute little beach town where he would soon be living, so he took her to Manasquan where they walked around and talked some more.

Julia remembers thinking to herself, "he seems really nice but there is no way I am driving this far to see him again." Little did she know.

Fast forward a few short weeks and they would start the stretch of visiting each other every weekend for the next three years. (This was when gas was at its highest btw).

After three years of driving back and forth to be together, they finally bought their first home together. A few months later, Matt took Julia back to Manasquan Beach, at the site of their first date, and proposed.
