Austin and Julia met through a mutual friend and bridesmaid (Cindy Klock) back in high school. They remained acquaintances through the years and would occasionally see each other out in Auburn with their friend groups. On one night Austin asked Julia for her information and initiated a few conversations. A few years later in 2021 Austin asked Julia to go out with him and some of his friends. That night Austin asked Julia out for the first time. One of their first dates was a hike at Buttermilk Falls in Ithaca. Austin fibbed the whole way up saying they were almost to the top...they were not. It was worth it though to spend more time together to get to know one another better. After that they developed a great relationship bonding over Simple Roast coffee, going on walks, and playing board games. Julia ended up going to school for two years in Boston where they managed to date long distance. It was that time apart where their relationship grew even stronger. Once Julia graduated and moved back home, Austin shortly proposed afterwards in Old Forge on yet another hike that he claimed they were almost to the top of and again...they were not. That hike was definitely worth it though because it led them to the best day of their lives so far. The best day is yet to come when they will be able to celebrate their marriage with all of their loved ones supporting them.
