We first met in college at UConn in 2017 during the fall of our senior year. We quickly knew we loved each other’s company and began dating that February 2018. Over the last 7 years, it is incredible how close we have grown to one another, as well as each others family and friends. We’ve celebrated graduations, both Bachelor’s and Master’s, first jobs and promotions, and new adventures. We’ve shared our love for nature in New England skiing and beaching, drove the length of California exploring everything from Napa Valley to San Diego, soaked up the sun during our trips to Cancun, and had the trip of a lifetime in Italy last September. After living together for the past 4 years, we know this is a forever thing and cannot wait to make if official on September 20, 2025!

For years we had dreamed of traveling to Italy. The thought of spending a couple weeks strolling through the beautiful cobblestone streets, sampling pizza, pasta, and wine and taking in the breathtaking views along the Amalfi coast sounded like a dream come true. In September 2023 we finally made dreams reality and landed in Rome. For three days we frolicked through this ancient (busy!) city. Sad to be leaving, but excited for what was next, we headed to the island of Capri, just off of the Amalfi coast. The beauty and serene energy of Capri could be felt immediately after stepping off the ferry - it was instantly our favorite place in the world. After dropping our bags at the Airbnb we started exploring and headed towards the famous Augustus Gardens. The walk was magical. The island was glowing as the clouds were clearing after an infrequent rainstorm and the pink florals that decorated walls and walkways were vibrant. In awe of it all, I was blindly following Kyle from a distance, assuming that per usual, he knew where he was going, even on an island half way around the world from home. With a little guidance from a local photographer he connected and coordinated with weeks prior, Kyle led me to the most beautiful private lookout on the island at the Faraglioni Rocks. Getting down on one knee, it was then I realized he managed to keep the surprise of a lifetime. Speechless and through some tears, I of course said YES! This was truly the most magical moment that I will never forget. We celebrated with some calls to family and friends, a delicious dinner and stunning views at Terrazza Brunella. We continued to fall in love with Capri during the rest of our three days there. Our celebrations continued in Amalfi and Florence, concluding what I’m sure was the best trip of our lives. Capri will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we already know we plan to return one day down the road to reflect on life and celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary.
